All You Need to Know About an Intern Counsellor
Interns at Charting Pathways Counselling are Master’s-level counselling students completing the final stage of their professional training. They provide compassionate, client-centred counselling in a supportive and welcoming environment, while working under the close supervision of a fully qualified, registered counsellor.
Sessions with an intern are offered at a reduced fee, making counselling more accessible:
$45.00 per individual session
$60.00 per couples session
Our interns offer in-person counselling from our Downtown Vancouver and Downtown New Westminster locations, as well as online sessions. Clients receive thoughtful, evidence-based care with the added benefit of professional supervision.

Background
I have a particular interest in grief and loss, including ambiguous and nonfinite loss, relationship challenges, burnout, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, and addiction and substance use concerns. I bring a culturally inclusive lens to my work and recognize that people navigate stress and adversity in many different ways, shaped by their histories, identities, and environments.
Before beginning my counselling training, I spent several years working in community and outreach settings supporting individuals experiencing complex mental health, addiction, housing, and social stressors. This experience continues to shape how I show up in the counselling space, with humility, compassion, and respect for resilience. Outside of counselling, I’m involved in animal rescue and spending time with my dogs. As an intern, I am committed to ongoing learning and clinical supervision, and I value building therapeutic relationships that feel safe, genuine, and steady.
