The nature of life’s experiences and living can be exceptionally fulfilling and at the same time provoke incredible challenges making life, family, relationships and living seem so hard.
We may not be able to control certain elements of life, but we do have control over how we address, engage with, and continue to move forward given these challenges.

I am a registered Clinical Counsellor (#22777) and hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. I provide compassionate care for individuals and couples tailored to meet their unique needs and experiences.
I believe there is no one size fits all approach to therapy. Which is why my approach is holistic and recognizes that our cultures, environments, society, and relationships shape our experiences in life. My practice is grounded in the belief that we all possess unique strengths that help us navigate our lives, but certain experiences can leave us feeling stuck and disconnected from ourselves and our relationships.
Having a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where you feel both challenged and accepted to show up as your authentic self, is where healing and change begins. I believe that effective therapy goes beyond just addressing immediate concerns and that together we can co-create sustained growth and meaningful change. I honour every single part of you and respect the immense courage it takes to seek support!

Hi there, I’m Gillian! I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#22672) and hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. My journey in counselling has been shaped by a diverse range of experiences, particularly in assisting individuals navigating addiction, anxiety, trauma, shame, and burnout, as well as years of experience offering support to Survivors of human trafficking, violence and abuse.
My counselling approach is shaped by my belief in the inherent human capacity for change. When life’s challenges leave individuals feeling stuck, I am guided by the conviction that healing happens through deeper connection with self and others. I strongly believe that transformation occurs when individuals are met with encouragement, non-judgment, and empathy. You’ll find that I approach all of my work with compassion and curiosity and aim to support clients in doing the same.

The nature of life’s experiences can be exceptionally fulfilling and at the same time provoke incredible challenges that have the ability to evoke immense struggles in our lives. My belief is that therapy is a place of healing, learning, and growth. My approaches are based upon supporting the needs and goals of each client who courageously takes the initiative to reach out for support. My aim is to create a safe, trusting space in therapy facilitated through non-judgmental and non-pathologizing approaches. As such, my approaches are client-centered and individualized to the uniqueness of each person.
I provide avenues to explore these difficulties and empower clients through strengthening their personal resources and resiliency, so they are better equipped to work through adversities in life, and ultimately experience greater life fulfillment.
I am an advocate of exploring and applying holistic approaches and integrating mindfulness throughout the therapeutic process by offering a diverse set of techniques and interventions to best fit the needs of clients. I believe the roots of mindfulness help us to connect and understand ourselves and others; providing a base from which to ground oneself in the adversities that life challenges us with.

Consultation, Individual Counselling
I am a Clinical Counsellor (RPC-C #4390). I work with individuals online and in-person at our Downtown Vancouver location. As a counsellor, my goal is to help you learn to accept and embrace all parts of yourself, so you can improve your confidence and feel better in your relationships, at work, and in all areas of life. When we meet you will find that I create a warm environment in which my clients feel free to express what’s on their minds and hearts – perhaps for the first time.
My approach to counselling includes a combination of talk therapy, parts work, and somatic therapy. Since we are all unique, no two sessions look the same, but my approach is always trauma-informed. I also incorporate elements of mindfulness and self-compassion, which I find to be helpful practices for slowing down and connecting with the present moment.
